Academics
In addition to career training, Blackwell Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.
HSED/GED/High School Diploma
One of our top goals at Blackwell Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her HSED/GED/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Blackwell can enroll in our HSED/GED program. Students can also earn their high school diplomas through our partnership with the Wabeno Area School District.
Driver's Education
Driver's Education is available to all students who are at least 16 years of age. A student wishing to obtain his/her driver's license must have a certified copy of his/her birth certificate.
